The Portland Police in cooperation with Crime Stoppers would like your help in locating and apprehending a woman who is known to police as Jane Elizabeth Maynard, although that may not be her true name.
A felony arrest warrant, charging Maynard with Theft in the First Degree, is on file in Multnomah County. According to investigators, Maynard, working as a bookkeeper for a small company in Southeast Portland, diverted over $40,000 of the company’s money to personal accounts she set up.
The warrant dates back to 2000, but police have been unable to find Maynard. Investigators believe that it is possible she is using a different name and working somewhere as a bookkeeper again.
Maynard may be in her mid fifties and has used a date of birth of June 21, 1949 on an Oregon DMV identification card. She is about 5’5” tall and weighs about 200 pounds. She has used addresses throughout the Portland metro area.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you may remain anonymous. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
