The Portland Police, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, would like your help finding an armed robbery suspect.
On May, 17 2005 at about 5:45 a.m., a suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store in the 7210 Southeast Milwaukie Avenue. The suspect pointed a handgun at employees and demanded money. At first one employee was unsure if the suspect was serious. The suspect persisted and the employees complied.
The suspect directed the employees to the back of the store and closed them in the cooler before leaving the store. The employees called police, who were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male, six feet tall or taller, with a thin to medium build. He was possibly in his early twenties. He was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt over his head with the drawstring pulled tight. The victims said the suspect was wearing latex gloves.
