Crime Stoppers, in cooperation with the Portland Police, wants your help finding a man wanted for attempted murder.
22-year-old Robert Jay James Jr., is wanted on one count of attempted murder in the shooting of a man on June 21, 2005. The two men were arguing near Northeast 52nd and Northeast Killingsworth when James shot the victim multiple times with a handgun. The victim was transported to a hospital and survived.
James has lived with or stayed with friends all around Portland and investigators believe he is in the metro area. They now hope for help from the community in finding James to bring him in on this warrant.
James is described as a black male, 5’10” to 6 feet tall, 170 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He may be staying with friends or family in Northeast or Southeast Portland. Investigators are not sure if he is currently working or what type of vehicle he is driving.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you may remain anonymous. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
