The Portland Police Bureau is seeking the public’s help in locating 14-year-old Elena Villafuerte-Reynel who officers believe voluntarily left her home at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Villafuerte-Reynel is a medically fragile and emotionally unstable runaway female. She is described as a 4’7" tall, 100-pound Hispanic female with long dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, zippered black sweater, black-colored fleece pants and white tennis shoes. Villafuerte-Reynel, who is a kidney transplant patient, was last seen by family members at her home in the 100 block of Northeast Lombard Street. Family members said she seemed upset about her medical condition, and said she suddenly left home without any of her necessary medications.
Villafuerte-Reynel has failed to appear for a required dialysis and has failed to take required medication for almost 24 hours. Without required treatment, Villafuerte-Reynel’s health will quickly deteriorate and her condition will become life-threatening.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mike Weinstein of the Missing Persons Unit, at (503) 823-0446. Anyone with information on Villafuerte-Reynel’s immediate whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
