Your business must provide our office with the names of all employees that may need access to the Justice Center. The list must be on business letterhead.
Your business is responsible for updating the list of employees representing your news organization.
All representatives must present picture identification at the front desk and display the identification at all times while they are in the Justice Center. The identification must clearly identify the person as an employee of your news organization.
You must notify the Portland Police Bureau if any of your employees’ identification is lost or stolen.
Upon entering the Justice Center, your representative must report immediately to the Public Information Office on the 15th floor. We will then escort your representative to any other portion of the building. In the event of a news conference, your representative may go directly to the floor of the conference and bypass our office.
Any media representative found wandering the halls of the Justice Center unescorted will be removed from the building. Their access to the Justice Center will be revoked.
(MORE) This policy is designed to streamline your access to the Justice Center. We realize that media representatives are frequently on deadlines. However, our first priority is to maintain a secure workplace for our employees. This policy is in effect only for the Justice Center. Media representatives will require an escort at all other Portland Police Bureau facilities.
We will implement this policy November 9, 2001. You may email the list to my office at firstname.lastname@example.org or fax you list to our office at (503) 823-0502.
