70-Year-Old Man Disappears From North Portland

January 06, 2006 00:00

Detectives from the Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 70-year-old Arthur Roger Shelley. Shelley was last seen on approximately December 24, 2005, at the Dawson Apartments, located in the 100 block of North Morris Street. Shelley has lived at the apartments for the past 8 years.

Shelley reportedly walks through the neighborhood every day and has very few friends. Shelley maintains a regular routine and does not historically deviate from it. He may have medical issues that might prevent him from seeking assistance on his own.

Shelley is a 70-year-old white male described as 5’10”, 145 pounds, with white hair and a mustache. He often wears a knit cap. Detectives do not know what type of clothing Shelley may have been wearing when he disappeared.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein, Missing Persons Unit, at (503) 823-0446.

This investigation is continuing.
