The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is the lead Federal agency dedicated to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats in OR, WA, ID, HI and other Pacific islands. Working closely with Federal, State, local and Tribal agencies, the Service shares scientific data and collaborates on conservation strategies while managing habitats in support of over 400 threatened and endangered species on 270 million acres on 67 National Wildlife Refuges; 5 National Monuments; 11 field offices; 15 National Fish Hatcheries and the world’s only wildlife forensics laboratory.
