The purpose of the Private For Hire Transportation Program (PFHT) is to provide for the safe, fair and efficient operation of private "for-hire" transportation services. These include taxis, limousines, executive sedans, town-cars, tour vehicles, medical transportation, pedicabs and pedal tour vehicles, and horse drawn carriages.
The taxi industry in Portland, like many other cities throughout the U.S. and world, faces growing challenges to meet changing needs of consumers. The Task Force will address these challenges.
