Tuesday, April 23, 2013, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The High Crash Corridor program has worked with the Mt. Tabor and South Tabor neighborhoods to identify ways to increase safety for all modes on SE Division Street from 60th to 80th avenues.
At this third and final open house, participants will learn about safety improvements coming in summer 2013, safety enhancements requested in a 2016 grant, and opportunties for weighing in on project design. Specifically, plans and a timeline for the conversion of Division from 4-lanes to 3-lanes will be presented and discussed. Please join the conversation!
September 26, 2012 - First Open House
The first open house identified safety problems on this segment of Division and presented different tools to address the safety problems. Participants discussed the concerns and shared feedback with PBOT.
November 6, 2012 - Second Open House
With the community feedback and data analysis, the second open house presented the preferred solution to safety concerns on this segmenet of Division, the conversion of this 4-lane roadway to a 3-lane roadway (one lane in each direction, with a center turn lane and bike lanes). Those in attendance overwhelmingly urged the Bureau of Transportation to pursue funding for the proposed safety improvement.
All open houses are co-hosted by Mt. Tabor Neighborhood Association, South Tabor Neighborhood Association, Warner Pacific College and the Portland Bureau of Transportation.
