Example of Urban Cycle Track

The Bureau of Transportation's new Portland State University Cycle Track Demonstration Project has officially opened.  You can download the brochure for the Cycle Track here.

Over the next year the Bureau of Transportation and PSU will be evaluating the performance of the cycle track to see what is working and what needs to change before this installation becomes permanent and other features are added.  Feel free to send us your feedback on how the cycle track is working for you.

The Bureau of Transporation is also implementing other projects to make cycling in Portland a world class experience.  SE Holgate has added buffered bicycle lanes near Lent's Park.  SW Stark and SW Oak downtown will also feature buffered bicycle lanes.  And the Bureau is moving forward rapidly with implementing 15 new miles of bicycle boulevards throughout the city.
