April is Poetry Month

In 2009, a mother-daughter volunteer team surprised us with some Haikus.

Quiet morning light
Spinning wheels, rushing air sounds
Sunday Parkways Rocks!

The click of the wheels
Dogs, babies, happy faces
People fly on bikes.

Streets closed to autos
Walkers, roller blades pass
On Sunday Parkways.

We love poetry and would love to read some more!  So, let the creative words flow...

Streets closed to autos, No shoppers
No parking downtown. Everyone who spends money
Is driving to Washington Square.

Why not just cut across the curve and shut downtown to cars like you want to?
