Parking Meter Rates
The City of Portland has four parking meter districts: Downtown, Lloyd,Marquam Hill, and Central Eastside. These districts contain approximately 9,000 metered spaces with various parking rates and hours of operation. All metered parking spaces have various time limits that are displayed on signs near the spaces. All districts observe the same holidays when parking is free. Downtown District. The Downtown Meter District includes the Central Business District, South Waterfront, Northwest and the Pearl District. It also includes an event meter district next to Jeld-Wen Field with unique rates and hours that is currently in effect on Portland Timbers game days. View Map
Downtown parking meters operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, unless otherwise posted. The current rate for on-street parking in the Downtown district is $1.60 per hour.
The Downtown district also includes an event meter district next to Jeld-Wen Field currently in effect on Portland Timbers home game days. The parking rate is $3.50 per hour beginning 90 minutes before the event.
Meters in the event district are identified by signs on the pay stations and next to parking spaces. The unique hours and rates will be shown on paystations' electronic displays. View Map
Lloyd District. The Lloyd Meter District is in North and Northeast Portland, roughly bounded by the Willamette River, N/NE Broadway, NE 16th and the I-84 freeway. The district includes the Oregon Convention Center, Lloyd Center, Rose Garden Arena, Memorial Coliseum and Lloyd Business District. View Map
Lloyd parking meters east of NE Grand Avenue operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise posted. Lloyd parking meters on and west of NE Grand Avenue operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, unless otherwise posted. The current parking rate in the Lloyd district is $1 per hour.
Marquam Hill District. The Marquam Hill Meter District is located on top of Portland’s Marquam Hill, home to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Shriners Hospital for Children, the Portland VA Medical Center and other healthcare organizations. View Map
Marquam Hill parking meters operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless otherwise posted. The current rate in the Marquam Hill district is $1.60 per hour.
The Central Eastside District is located on MLK Blvd. and Grand Ave. and the streets in between MLK and Grand from I-84 freeway to Clay Street.
Central Eastside parking meters operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless otherwise posted. The current parking rate in the Central Eastside District is $1.20 per hour.
