A bike fair, an organized event with a myriad of activities for students and families, is a great way to celebrate and encourage biking to school. 

The Safe Routes to School program loans schools Bike Fair Kits for free to help make organizing a bike fair simple and fun.  The kit includes materials and instructions for the five fun activities:

- Bike skills intersection

- Tire tread art station

- Bike lock relay race

- Slow race

- Helmet egg drop

In addition, schools may want to organize:

- $5 bicycle helmet sale (working with Trauma Nurses Talk Tough with Legacy Hospital)

- Bike maintenance (working with a local bike shop to volunteer time and resources)
