Mayor Sam Adams, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, U.S. Representative Earl Blumenauer, U.S. Representative David Wu, U.S. Representative Kurt Schrader, and speakers from the Oregon Transportation Commission and the Oregon University System. Project partners and supporters, project construction crews and the general public are invited to attend.
Tuesday, March 22 at 10 a.m.
The event will be held on SW Moody Avenue approximately halfway between the Marquam and Ross Island bridges and on the east side of the street. Parking details will be forthcoming.
The SW Moody Project will reconstruct SW Moody Avenue between SW River Parkway and SW Gibbs Street in Portland’s South Waterfront district. The new Moody Avenue will support redevelopment of adjacent brownfields, facilitate the completion of MAX Light Rail and Portland Streetcar to the Eastside, and spur growth for the Innovation Quadrant. The project is paid for with federal, state and local money. More information is available at swmoodyproject.com.
