Gateway Business Association's Fun-o-Rama this Saturday

The SmartTrips team had such a good time teaming up with the Gateway Area Business Association last year celebrating Mother's Day with a bike ride and helmet giveaway, we teamed up again to help out with GABA's Fun-O-Rama!

On Saturday, May 21st from 1:00 - 4:00 you can get a free ($5 suggested donation) helmet for your children, go on an escorted bike ride, check out local artists and classic cars and win some cool prizes.

The Gateway Area Business Association puts on this family-friendly and focused event every year to showcase their fabulous business district and tight-knot community.  GABA is also made up of great people and businesses who wholeheartedly like to give back to the community with a day of fun.

So come on out to 111th Square this Saturday.  Plenty of bike parking provided by BikeRacker and just a short pedal from the Gateway Transit Center.  See you Saturday!

I remember growing up in the late seventies and eighties, how cool the fun-o-rama was. The parade was neat, with everything you could think of to see, and if I'm not mistaken, there may have been some carnival rides somewere around..Why can't they have a parade again like the good ol'days(along with the candy that was thrown too)

Are the rides that are being set up a block away part of this? And is there any fee for them or are they free? I see no mention of the rides in any of your published information.

Jon - This event took place in May of 2011. Gateway may be doing another one. I'd check here - http://www.gabanet.com/gaba-activities/fun-o-rama/

Feel free to call me with questions: 503-823-5345

Thanks,
