Get that great “I just rode my bike” feeling all-year-round!

Keep your Bike Commute Challenge momentum, practice riding in all kinds of weather, make new friends, and have a little fun while learning something new.

All rides are easy-paced, FREE, and will end near a place to have a hot beverage (or stop along the way for something).  We’ll ride rain or shine – always with smiles for our umbrellas! 

• Saturday, Sep. 15  *10 am*  Autumn Adventure

Laurelhurst Park, SE 37th Ave & Oak

Celebrate the cooler weather on a 25 mile ride along the Springwater Corridor and Gresham/Fairview Trail.  We'll make a lunch stop at Cartlandia on the way back - bring cash if you'd like to enjoy a meal there, or pack your lunch.

•  Saturday, Oct. 6  * 10 am * Reduce, Reuse, Bicycle 

Laurelhurst Park, SE 37th Ave & Oak

We'll visit great examples of organizations that make Portland a sustainable city.  The ride will travel about 10 -12 miles at a moderate pace. 

• Saturday, Oct. 13 * 10 am*  Coffee and Donuts Ride

Clinton Park, SE Woodward & 57th Ave

What's round and keeps your bike moving? We'll see several answers to that question.  Bring your own cup so you can enjoy a hot beverage along with the delectable treats we'll find (and bring cash for the pastry you won't be able to resist). 

• Saturday, Nov. 3  * 10 am * Let's See Sellwood

Col. Summers Park, SE 17th Ave & Taylor

We'll travel a little farther than usual to see this unique corner of the city.  The tour will go by beautiful parks, a nationally renowned college, and will show off the connection between the Springwater Corridor Trail and the Springwater-on-the-Willamette Trail.  

• Saturday, Nov. 17 * 10 am * Stormwater Gardens & Swales

Hawthorne Hostel, SE Hawthorne Blvd and 31st Ave

Take a tour of street features that increase safety for travelers and decrease the load on our sewer system – plus see a beautiful stormwater garden.   We've done these tours in the summer for several years - now, with any luck,  we'll get to see the swales in action!
