TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Two-week street closure on SE 17th Avenue begins December 7
(Portland, Ore.) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that a street closure will be necessary on Southeast 17th Avenue between Southeast Yukon Street and Southeast Tolman Street beginning Wednesday, December 7, through Friday, December 23, all hours and all days. The closure is necessary to repair the failed concrete road base under the asphalt surface. The public is advised to expect delays, travel cautiously and observe all work zone signage.
Two detours will be in effect to accomplish this work. Northbound traffic on 17th Avenue will be detoured onto Tolman Street, west to Milwaukie Avenue, north to Yukon Street, and back to 17th Avenue. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto Yukon Street, west to Milwaukie Avenue, south to Tolman Street, and back to 17th Avenue.
Local access will be provided to all residents. Both sidewalks will be kept open for pedestrians and bicyclists.
This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change.
