Design for Phase I work completed May 9, 2014.

Advertised for bids for Phase I construction work on May 19, 2014.

Opened bids for Phase I construction work on June 12, 2014.

Executed contract with Kodiak Pacific Construction, Inc. on July 31, 2014.

Schedule for first phase of construction (NE Marx Street) provided by Kodiak Pacific Construction, Inc. on January 16, 2015:

Week of January 12, 2015 through January 16, 2015

   Continue construction of stormwater facilities

   Complete roadway excavation

    Begin installation of base rock in roadway

Week of January 19, 2015 through January 23, 2015

   Complete sidewalk construction

   Complete construction of stormwater facilities

   Complete installation of base rock in roadway

   Begin street paving

Week of January 26, 2015 through January 30, 2015

   Complete street paving

   Install striping and signs

   Reopen road

   Begin final work on ornamental street lighting

Construction for Phase II construction work (NE 112th Avenue) scheduled for summer 2015.

Streets include:

  • NE Marx Street from NE 109th Avenue to NE 112th Avenue (Phase I work); north side of street only except for 11040 NE Marx St.
  • NE 112th Avenue from NE Marx Street to the north property line of 5415 NE 112th Avenue (Phase II work)

Property owners are funding most costs of the project with a fixed contribution of $120,000 from the Bureau of Environmental Services.
