Sunday Parkways Every Day!

Sharrows on Sunday ParkwaysThis year all of our Sunday Parkways routes ran along some Neighborhood Greenway.  One of the goals of Sunday Parkways is to educate people about our great bicycling and walking features, such as the greenways, so you can use them everyday to get around.  What is a greenway you ask?  It is a residential street with low volumes of auto traffic and low speeds where people walking and biking are given priority. The City is building a large network from north to southeast and over the bridges to the west.  You may already be using them without even knowing.  Have you seen this marking on the street?  We call it a sharrow - guiding you around the city streets.  There are also green signs along the routes telling you what is in each direction and how long it may take you to get there.
