Update for October 12, 2012

October 12, 2012

N. Denver Ave Roadway Repairs Update

The first week of work is complete and on schedule. Crews excavated the pavement, completed repairs to the roadway base, and placed a layer of asphalt over the roadway base. They are ready for placing the final concrete surface.

The contractor is planning to return next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and it will take at least two days to complete the concrete paving. However, the concrete work is weather dependent and rain will delay the concrete paving. Once the concrete is placed, it will need to cure for several weeks before the roadway can be reopened to traffic. Detours will continue to direct traffic around the work zone.
