On-street parking is free at meters on Thanksgiving Day

Parking is not free on Friday 

(PORTLAND,Ore.) – The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises visitors to Downtown Portland, the Lloyd District and Marquam Hill for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend that on-street parking will be free at the meters on Thanksgiving Day, which is Thursday, November 22. Parking will not be free on Friday, November 23. Regular parking rates will apply Friday through Sunday. 

While City of Portland offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday, parking enforcement officers will be working on Friday to enforce paid parking at the meters and all other parking regulations citywide. The enforcement of paid parking on Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, helps create parking turnover and increase the availability of parking spaces for customers.
