The Pedestrian Advisory Committee (PAC) advises the City of Portland on matters that concern walking as a means of transportation, recreation, wellness and environmental enhancement.
The PAC meets the third Tuesday of every month in the evening and members are appointed to 4-year terms. Member activities might include reviewing and making recommendations on:
- Planning documents
- Pedestrian projects
- Funding priorities
- Maintaining and updating design guides and master plans
Qualified applicants must live or own a business within the boundaries of the city of Portland; have an interest in promoting walking for transportation and recreation; and commit to attending and participating in monthly meetings.
Applicants are encouraged to attend a PAC meeting prior to the application deadline (March 19, April 16) to see the committee in action.
Applications are due by 5 PM Thursday, April 18, 2013 and accepted by postal mail, email, fax or in-person. The application is available at https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/article/212891.
