News Advisory: Commissioner Novick to lead dedication of Portland Streetcar’s latest public art project on Monday Sept. 30

(Sept. 27, 2013) – Transportation Commissioner Steve Novick and leaders of Portland Streetcar Inc. and the Regional Arts & Culture Council will dedicate a new public art project and learn about it firsthand from artist Jorge Pardo, an international artist based in Mexico who is visiting Portland for the event.

What: Celebrate the public art along the Portland Streetcar Loop Project and dedicate Streetcar Stop for Portland by Jorge Pardo.

Where: Broadway/Weidler/Ross Streetcar Stop at the triangle on the east end of the Broadway Bridge, across from the Leftbank Project.

Rain location: Leftbank Annex, 101 N. Weidler St.

When: 11 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013

Visuals: Commissioner Novick and leaders of Portland Streetcar Inc., the Regional Arts & Culture Council to tour the public art project, which serves as a new shelter for streetcar riders.
