Description

This course will get you up to speed on rules of the road for cyclists, plus tips on how to stay safe, build skills and discover the best routes for getting around our fair city.

The first part of the workshop focuses on the laws and on-the-bike skills like signaling, turning, shifting, and braking. In the second half we'll venture out for a short and easy spin around town so you can practice your new riding skills.

Please bring your bike, helmet, water, a snack and wear weather appropriate clothing. If it's been a while since you've pushed the pedals, please take your bike to a local shop for a safety check before the ride.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

This class is free.  Part of the Portland By Cycle series of rides and classes.   Click to see the full schedule.
