Updated Traffic Advisory: Street improvements on SE Tacoma Street to close lanes from SE 17th Avenue to SE Johnson Creek Boulevard June 24-July 2

Note: this Traffic Advisory modifies the previous one sent on June 18. The project has been expanded to pave an additional portion of SE Tacoma Street. The new advisory and previous one follow:

(June 22, 2015)  – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require lane closures on SE Tacoma Street from SE 17th Avenue to SE Johnson Creek Boulevard starting Wednesday, June 24, through Thursday, July 2, from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. each week day and may include some weekend work.

The lane closures will allow crews to pave 2.52 lane miles of SE Tacoma Street.

Streets with ground down surfaces are open for travel. Lane closures are only in effect during project hours. Access will be maintained for businesses and residents during the project.

The traveling public is advised to expect delays while repairs are being made. We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe all lane closures and directions by reader boards and flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.

This work is weather-dependent and the schedule may change.
