Government Parking Permits are not intended to serve as substitutes for off-street parking or to make ordinary parking simply more convenient. Permits are to be used to accomplish official government business that could not be accomplished without a special parking permit.
Therefore, when you return your permit application, include a statement describing the type of service to be given and the reason a special permit is necessary. Permits are to be issued to government-owned vehicles. However, if you have a special circumstance where the use of a private vehicle is required, please indicate the reason in your statement. Up to four vehicles may be listed on each permit; however, only one vehicle may use the permit at a given time.
Permits are $750 each for a fiscal year. ( July 1 - June 30) If your permit is lost or stolen, or there is a change in license numbers on the permit, there will be a $15 replacement fee per permit.
Before signing, please read the conditions of permit use which appear on the application. Violators of these conditions will be penalized as noted on the application. Your statement and application will be reviewed by the Bureau of Transportation System Management. The Bureau may deny requests for permits or impose such limitations as it deems necessary. A demonstrated history of permit abuse may result in an examination of whether permits will be issued to you in the future.
Permits are issued by mail only. Mail your completed application and statement to:
