This permit is not intended to serve as a substitute for off-street parking or to make ordinary parking simply more convenient. Permits must be used to accomplish official agency business that could not be accomplished without a special parking permit.
In order to qualify for a Non-profit parking permit, you need to send your completed application, a copy of your non-profit status (501-C3), a check for the appropriate amount, and a written statement on organizational letterhead to demonstrate:
- Your organization's current status as a charitable organization note that fraternal, religious, cultural, and civil groups are not eligible)
- Your organization provides broad-based services that benefit the community at-large
- Use of private vehicles is necessary to perform services.
Your statement and application will be reviewed by the Bureau of Transportation System Management. If your application is approved, we will issue your permit(s). The Bureau may deny requests for permits or impose such limitation as it deems necessary. Permits are $50 each per year.
Before signing, please read the conditions regarding permit use, which appear on the application. If during the permit year, your permit is lost, stolen, or the information changes, (i.e., license plate number), there will be a $15 replacement charge per permit.
