Tree Project Oversight Advisory Committee

The Tree Project Oversight Advisory Committee (OAC) was established by Commissioner Amanda Fritz in conjunction with the implementation of the Tree Project. This committee represents a diverse group of individuals with different expertise, skills, and viewpoints. The role of the OAC is to:

  • Provide community oversight, monitoring, and review of Tree Project implementation
  • Assess and provide feedback on what is and is not working related to Tree Project implementation, potentially leading to recommendations for code and/or administrative rules refinement
  • Provide Commissioner Fritz, Development Services (BDS) and Parks (PP&R) staff with input and recommendations during the outreach, education and implementation, and monitoring phases of the Tree Project
  • Work with the Urban Forestry Commission to guide outreach by the Urban Forestry Commission education & outreach subcommittee.

The Tree Code Oversight Advisory Committee met for one year, between January and December 2015. Their final meeting was held on December 14, 2015. The committee's recommendations report summarizes their findings and recommendations regarding Title 11, trees.
