Trail Improvements in Willamette Park

Trail Construction – Beginning September 26th

 As part of the Hannah Mason Pump Station construction project, construction will begin on a section of the Greenway Trail in the southern area of Willamette Park. The trail will remain open during construction but bikes and pedestrians should proceed with cautionthrough the construction area and obey flaggers and detour signs. Construction on the trail will continue through the end of October. SW Nevada Street Paving: UPDATE 09-19-2016:

Due to rain over the weekend, only a portion of SW Nevada was paved on the 17th. Crews will return to complete the paving on SW Nevada to the west of SW Macadam tomorrow morning, September 20th, beginning at 7:30am. During road paving, both SW Nevada and SW Macadam will remain open, but some traffic turning movements and driveways could be restricted for a portion of the day. As with any construction project, safety is our first priority. Please obey flaggers and all construction signs.

Paving on SW Nevada Street – September 17th

As part of the Hannah Mason Pump Station construction project, crews will be preparing and paving to the east and west of Macadam Boulevard on SW Nevada Street this week.  

To minimize traffic disruptions, work will happen Saturday, September 17th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During road paving, both SW Nevada and SW Macadam will remain open, but some traffic turning movements could be restricted. As with any construction project, safety is our first priority. Please obey flaggers and all construction signs.

Paving work is weather dependent. Rain could delay or postpone paving work. In the event of postponement, residents will be notified in advance of the next paving date. 

 

Night Paving on SW Macadam Avenue

As part of the Hannah Mason Pump Station construction project, crews will be conducting night grinding and paving working on SW Macadam Avenue near the intersection of SW Nevada Street.

To minimize traffic disruptions, work will happen on Monday through Wednesday nights, August 29th-30th at 8:00 p.m. and be complete by 5:00 a.m. 

 As with any construction project, safety is our first priority. Please obey flaggers and all construction signs.

Night Work Scheduled for SW Macadam Avenue

Construction crews will be restoring SW Macadam Avenue near the intersection of SW Nevada Street Monday through Thursday nights July 18-21st. Zupan’s Markets and all area businesses will remain open normal hours during construction. To minimize traffic disruptions, work will begin each night at 8 p.m. and be completed by 5 a.m. the next morning.

During construction, SW Macadam Avenue will remain open in both directions but traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and some turning movements could be restricted. Travelers are urged to use alternate routes and are reminded to drive slowly, exercise caution, and follow the direction of flaggers when traveling in and around the construction area. As with any construction project, safety is our first priority. Please obey flaggers and all construction signs.
