A road closure on SW Montgomery Drive is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 8th, 2012, and will last through October 31st. The closure on SW Montgomery Drive will be between SW Patton Road and SW Elm Street. Construction will take place on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and SW Montgomery Drive will be open when no work is taking place. Detours will reroute traffic onto SW Vista Avenue.

The road closure is due to water supply infrastructure improvements being made by the Portland Water Bureau. The Portland Heights Pump Mains Project includes the installation of 3,500 feet of new 16-inch diameter ductile iron water main to replace existing pipeline that is leaking and has been in use since 1904.

In November, construction will continue on SW Greenway Avenue. The project is scheduled to end in December, weather dependent.

The public is advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays. Motorists and bicyclists are encouraged to observe all road closure signage, and drive cautiously.
