The Water Research Foundation (WaterRF) is partnering with Kings College in London to study customers’ perceptions of emerging contaminants in drinking water, such as endocrine disruptors (EDCs) and Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCS).
The study’s investigators are seeking participants across the United States to take an on-line survey to learn what the general public knows about their tap water and how they view the quality and safety of their drinking water.
While the Portland Water Bureau supports this research project, it has not been involved in the development or implementation of this survey. However, the bureau does encourage its customers to participate. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.
To take the survey, visit http://srvey.info/water.
The results of this research study aim to improve the information and advice that are given to the public about drinking water. The Portland Water Bureau supports efforts to keep the public up-to-date about drinking water and any issues that could affect the quality and safety of water. Additional information about PPCPs can be found on the Water Bureau’s website.
The Denver-based WaterRF is the world's largest and most well-respected research organization devoted to drinking water research. Their research helps provides practical solutions to the most complex challenges facing the drinking water community today and into the future.
On behalf of the WaterRF and Kings College, the Portland Water Bureau thanks you for your time in taking the survey.
