An eight-inch diameter water main break has closed N Wayland Avenue for a single block between N Willis Boulevard and N Hunt Street. The main break has also disrupted water service for approximately fifteen residential houses for a two block area on N Wayland Avenue between N Willis Boulevard and N McCoy Court.

A Portland Water Bureau crew is working to repair the main break, which is expected to be fixed by the end of the day. Traffic safety cones are in place to direct drivers around the one-block road closure. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area for the rest of the day or until the road has been reopened.
