Summer is finally here! In Portland that means reduced rainfall, warmer temperatures and a large increase in outdoor water use. To help households use water wisely outdoors, the Portland Water Bureau is offering hose nozzles, watering gauges and water-wise plant guides FREE to our customers!
These tools include:
- Water-Efficiency Plant Guide. Make smart plant choices for your landscape here in the Willamette Valley.
- Hose Nozzle. Avoid running a hose unchecked when watering by hand.
- Watering Gages. Measure how much water is being put down on the grass when using a sprinkler. Water your lawn an inch a week (on average); shrubs and flower beds less. You can also sign up for the weekly watering number that tells you how much to water based on the weather.
