The Multnomah Days street festival is back for the 105th year!

This weekend, August 17th and 18th, the public is invited to SW Portland’s Multnomah Village to celebrate “Multnomah Days.”  An annual occasion, the event kicks off Saturday, August 17th at 8:00 am with a community pancake breakfast followed by a parade of bands, street performers, cars, pets, and more.

The event, organized by the Multnomah Village Business Association with the help of community sponsors, features 120 vendors showcasing art, food, arts and crafts and other unique merchandise.

Portland Water Bureau staff also will be at the event to distribute water conservation information as well as materials for other sustainable City programs. These fun events present a great way for the Portland Water Bureau to connect with the community as well as share water knowledge with the public.

Each year, volunteers from the Portland Water Bureau partner with several other City bureaus to provide information on the City’s multiple sustainability-focused programs. This united outreach effort, called "Your Sustainable City," offers a wide variety of information on transportation alternatives, water conservation, recycling, green building, parks services and stormwater management.

Parking is limited. Citizens are encouraged to ride TriMet buses 44 and 45 or access the area by bicycle. For additional information about the event, visit the Multnomah Village official website.

Thanks for sharing that - I had heard about event calendars working their way into places pages, but hadn't quite seen one in the flesh yet.
