Find Construction Projects in Your Neighborhood

The City of Portland provides a way of accessing public data through its Porltandmaps.com portal.  A wide variety of data is available for the Portland Metropolitan Area, including Assessor/Tax Lot Information, Building Permits, and Crime Data.

One of the most useful data sets is the list of major public works Projects in your neighborhood. This page lists the water, sewer and transportation projects scheduled for your area at a given time. To view this information:

Go to portlandmaps.com.

Type in your address.

Click on “Projects” to the right of your address at the top of the page.

There are 2 choices, 'Capital Improvement Projects' and 'Public Works Projects'.

The list of Capital Improvement projects includes a description of the project, and a schedule for the design and construction phases within one-half mile of the property. This information can be useful to residents and businesses in planning their own private property improvement projects, and knowing when their streets may be disrupted.

The Public Works projects shown are privately-funded projects (also known as development-initiated projects).  These projects also involve public infrastructure.
