Toni Sexton, Emergency Communications Operations Manager

Toni Sexton is the Operations Manager and is responsible to ensure that her Operations Team meets the Bureau Mission - answering 9-1-1 calls and dispatching the appropriate public safety responders.  Basically, her goal is to ensure that both the public and our partner agencies are served.  In order to make that happen, Toni and her team have to provide BOEC employees with the tools, policies, equipment and training they need to get the job done.  The best part of that work is seeing BOEC employees work quickly and competently to save lives and help the community when they really need it. Toni really appreciates watching them move through calls and dispatch at lightning speed with little effort - very similar to watching a professional athlete competing at his or her sport. 

Another big part of Toni's job is attending meetings.  She currently has several standing meetings - bargaining, training, CAD-Next (several meetings every week), User Board, Labor Management Committee, and all dispatch committee meetings (although she might try and send a delegate to one of the three), and she runs the supervisor meetings.  Additionally her duties require her to attend various meetings about regional issues, BOEC issues with other City bureaus, and filling in for the Director whenever she is gone.
