Ryan DesJardins has worked for the Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) since October 2017. He is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing quality assurance and improvement program for the bureau. Ryan has more than 19 years experience in Public Safety, including time as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff, Dispatcher, Supervisor, and Operations Manager. He has lived and worked in Oregon since 2001.
Ryan came to BOEC specifically to build a quality assurance and improvement program. He is passionate about supporting dispatchers in their very stressful and demanding job. This program will not only support dispatchers and ensure they have the continuing education and tools to do their jobs to the best of their ability, but the programs ultimate goal is to ensure the citizens of Multnomah County have the best possible service, support, and experience when they call 9-1-1.
