Supervisor of the Year

I would like to nominate Todd DeWeese as Supervisor of the Year.  Todd is a highly dependable and committed supervisor and the kind of teammate you look for when working in the supervisor's pod.

A leader within the ECS group, Todd frequently suggests ideas for improvement, he is an advocate for his peers, and he never turns down an opportunity to help when needed, whether its project work or an opportunity to help out his peers by covering overtime.

Todd's work ethic shows with his attendances (and his ongoing quest to have the largest sick bank in the bureau), his commitment to detail, his initiative in suggesting improvements, and doing the work needed to get us there.  Last but not least, his terminally positive attitude.  He genuinely cares about our employees, the citizens we serve, and our partner agencies and it shows in his integrity, compassion, responsibility, sense of teamwork, and respect for others.

The bureau would be remiss to not recognize the good work and quality leadership that Todd brings to the table on a daily basis.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to nominate Todd for Supervisor of the Year.  Being one of the newest members to the group, Todd immediately welcomed me in and started instilling in me his years of wisdom and knowledge of the job.  I am never short of amazement of how much he knows and how fast he can come up with an answer for things that just befuddle me.  He spent months of me hammering him with questions and even if they may have sounded trivial, he never made me feel dumb about any of them.  I would consider Todd a mentor of mine and I appreciate all the time and effort he has put into my success here.

Todd is a team player, which includes working a lot of overtime to allow his coworkers to take time off, even when they are horrible hours like coming in at 2am before his shift even starts.  He is a forward thinker and always trying to come up with ways to streamline tasks we frequently do.  Another outstanding trait of Todd's is his room awareness.  He always seems to be on top of what is going on and is quick to respond when problems arise.  Todd is also a networker.  From the janitor to the BTS guy who comes up here once a year, he knows their name and can easily have a conversation with any of them.  These relationships he's built are beneficial and help us all work together, especially in the face of change to policy and procedure.  I look at Todd as one of the more dependable people I know and his knowledge of the bureau paramount.
