Portland Basement Moisture Survey
Do you have basement seepage problems? We'd like to hear about it.

Environmental Services gathers information from property owners who have had problems with sewer back-ups or seepage in their basements. Many things can cause moisture problems in basements. Your responses to this survey will help us identify areas where sewers have backed up into basements or areas where groundwater has seeped into basements and will provide information as Environmental Services works to manage stormwater in your area and throughout the city. This survey is intended to collect historical data and information. If you have a current sewer emergency, please contact 503-823-1700. If you are experiencing stormwater issues on your property, you should contact a reputable contractor to assist you.

Do you have a French drain on your property? (A French drain is a trench covered with gravel or rock or containing a perforated pipe that redirects surface and groundwater away from an area)
Do you have a sump pump on your property? (A sump pump removes water from sump basins commonly found in residential basements)
Do you notice large amounts of standing water on the ground in your neighborhood, particularly after long periods of heavy rain?
