Wilfred Pinfold holds a Research Professorship in Computer Science at Portland State University and is the CEO of Urban Systems Inc., a company that provides a range of civic engagement, financial, design, and software services to smart connected communities. He retired as Director of Extreme Scale Programs and Federal Research at Intel Corporation in 2015. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Oregon College of Arts and Crafts. Originally from Johannesburg, he trained in Naval Architecture and received his PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics. He moved to the United States in 1980.
