(Aug. 6, 2013) - The Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street maintenance work will close NE Prescott Street between NE 82^nd Avenue and NE Sandy Boulevard weekdays from Wednesday, August 7 through Thursday, August 15,^, 2013.

The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. through 4 p.m. each business day, and a detour will be in effect during those times.  Eastbound traffic will be directed to continue east on Sandy Boulevard to 82^nd Avenue and north on 82^nd   Avenue to NE Prescott Street. Westbound traffic will be directed to southbound on NE  82^nd Avenue to NE Sandy Boulevard, west on NE Sandy Boulevard to NE Prescott Street. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.

 Flaggers will be on NE Prescottto direct traffic at the intersections with 82^nd Avenue and NE Sandy Boulevard.  

The closure is necessary for street crews to grind and pave NE Prescott Street.

The public is advised to travel cautiously in the work zone and to observe detours and directions by flaggers. Travelers are advised to use alternate routes if possible. Paving is dependent on weather and the schedule may change.
