(Aug. 22, 2013.) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require a lane closure on NE  Prescott Street between NE 72nd and 82nd avenues  from Thursday, August 26 through Friday, September 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Work is not scheduled over the Labor Day weekend and both lanes are scheduled to be open.

The public is advised to expect delays on NE Prescott Street while repairs are made.  We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe the lane closure and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.

This closure is necessary to remove and replace both the base and the surface layers of sections ofNE   Prescott Street to stabilize the foundation of the road and prevent potholes and other surface distress.

This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change.
