Traffic Advisory: Stormwater, pedestrian improvements to close SE 6th Ave. and Clay St. intersection, Tues. Sept. 3 for more than two weeks

(August 29, 2013) – A green street and pedestrian improvement project will close the intersection of SE 6th and Clay Street starting Tuesday, September 3. The intersection will be closed 24 hours a day for at least two weeks while construction crews install stormwater facilities, ADA ramps, and concrete crossings.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians will be directed to detour around the intersection, via SE Hawthorne, Grand, Market, or 7th Avenue.
