Lobbyist Regulations & Political Consultant Reporting

About the Regulation of Lobbying Entities and Political Consultant Reporting Programs

The City's Lobbying Regulations and the new Political Consulting Reporting program, passed by Council in 2016, serve to improve transparency and inform the public of efforts to influence City Officials. Both programs are disclosure based, with information provided by City officials, lobbying entities, and certain political consultants.

If you are a required filer, you can access forms, the online portal, and training materials on this website. Members of the public can find information about both programs, including all disclosure reports, frequently asked questions, administrative rules, and City Code Chapters 2.12 and 2.14.

NOTE: As of December 2017, the filing portal for statements and forms required by the City's lobbying regulations has been updated to a completely online filing process. As of October 2018, the Political Consultant Reporting program has also transition to an all online filing system. Both portals can be accessed by following links on this page. City officials, lobbying entities, and political consultants do not need to email, hand-deliver, or mail statements or registrations to the Auditor's Office.

To make an anonymous report about suspected fraud or possible violations of City Code, including violations of the City's Lobbying or Political Consultant Reporting programs, please contact the Auditor's Fraud Hotline.
