Requests for Documentation of Allowed Campaign Expenditures - 4/11/06

The Auditor has sent requests for documentation of certain campaign expenditures to all three certified candidates.  City Administrative Rule ARB-ADM-2.22 provides that in addition to the general records preservation and reporting requirements of ORS Chapter 260, certified Campaign Finance Fund candidates "shall have the burden of proving that expenditures made by the candidate from campaign finance fund revenues were for direct allowed campaign purposes" and shall "obtain and furnish to the Auditor or Citizen Campaign Commission upon request any evidence regarding direct campaign expenses made by the candidate."
