Prospective nominating petitions filed - May 2012 Primary

On Tuesday, August 2, 2011, the Auditor received a prospective petition from Max Brumm, who indicated that he would file for the office of Mayor by perfected nominating petition for the May 2012 primary. The Auditor received another prospective petition on Friday, August 5, 2011, from Eileen Brady, who indicated that she would file for the office of Mayor by perfected nominating petition. The Election Division approved both petitions for circulation on Friday, August 5, 2011.

As an alternative method of filing as a candidate by declaration with filing fee, a candidate may file a nominating petition. A nominating petition shall contain no fewer than 100 original signatures of electors registered in the City of Portland.

The first date to file as a candidate, by nominating petition or declaration with fee, is September 8, 2011.
