Initiative Petition (PDX 4) Qualifies for Ballot (02/06/2014)

On Thursday, February 6th, 2014, the signature verification process was completed by the Multnomah County Elections Office and the City’s Elections Office for initiative petition PDX 4. The initiative seeks to create a water and sewer district with an elected board (see ballot title). Chief Petitioners are Floy Jones and Kent Craford.

Statistical sampling shows the petition contained 32,858 valid City of Portland registered voter signatures, qualifying it for the May 20, 2014 Primary Election ballot. According to Portland City Code, the required number of signatures for an initiative to qualify for the May 2014 Primary Election ballot is 29,786. The measure will be certified to the Multnomah County Elections Division for placement on the May ballot.
