On February 7, 2018 the Portland City Council passed Resolution No.37343, referring a measure to Portland voters on the May 15, 2018 Primary Election ballot.

Status: 

2/7/18 - Resolution filed with City Elections Officer, seven-day ballot title challenge period begins. An elector may file a petition for review of the ballot title with the Multnomah County Circuit Court no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 16, 2018. 

2/22/18 - No petitions for review of the ballot title were filed with the Auditor's Office. 

2/22/18 - Auditor files measure  with Multnomah County Elections office to appear on the May 15, 2018 ballot. County assigns Measure No. 26-197. 

3/5/18 - Measure explanatory statement filed with City Elections Officer and submitted to County Elections office to appear in Voters' pamphlet.

5/15/18 - Election held; voters approve measure
