Amanda Fritz, candidate for Commissioner No. 3, became the first candidate to file a Request for Certification as a publicly funded candidate.

 

The Auditor's Office has five business days to review the request and determine if she has qualified for certification.

 

Certified candidates for Commissioner are eligible to receive $150,000 for their Primary Election campaign, minus any seed money and qualifying contributions received from the candidate.

 

30% of the funding is due to certified candidates within 10 business days of certification.

 

The remaining 70% will be distributed in February 2006.
