  • Batch Permit Submittal and Review Process

    Effective May 1, 2017 - Projects with three or more detached dwelling units (designed to the residential code) on a single lot, or three or more dwelling units that are attached to one another, are submitted through the Batch Submittal and Review Process.

  • BDS Budget Update

    Spring is a busy time of year for BDS budget staff. As BDS’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-18 budget continues to work its way through the approval process, the bureau added 24 new positions to its FY 2016-17 budget through the City’s Spring Budget Monitoring Process (BMP).

  • Strategic Plan Update

    The Plan will be presented to the Development Review Advisory Committee on June 15, 2017, after which final edits to the Plan will be made. BDS intends to begin implementation of the Plan in June 2017.

  • 2017 BDS Surveys Update

    BDS is currently in the planning stages to conduct customer, community and employee satisfaction surveys in summer 2017. The surveys will be conducted primarily online.

    Transportation System Development Charge Update is Now Complete and Public Hearing Set for July 26, 2017.

    The Green Loop was the star attraction at this year’s Design Week Portland and City Council directs Map Refinement Project to evaluate additional properties.
